Site Build It Scam – No Need For SEO Web Design

Say No to Site Build It

A simple post titled Site Build It Scam Review proved that for giant boosts of traffic neither SEO or web design matter one iota if your content is on target. SEO has to do with what words and phrases are being searched on, how much traffic they generate, how much competition there is, and what the potential earnings are for whatever type of monetization is being used. Web design is obviously about aesthetics and not so obviously about guiding a viewers focus to a predetermined spot be it an ad or a link or otherwise. SEO web design is therefore the study of how to get these two seemingly different skill sets to work in harmony. But man, if you hit the mark on a viral topic, you don’t need SEO or a good looking design.

I found the Site Build It Scam article to be a legitimate review of a website building tool on a typical make money type blog. Then I read the comments, holy crap, you don’t see that kind of reaction too often. There are a gazillion comments and the post is now on page one for it’s term. The good, the bad, and the ugly all showed up here. The post has attained true viral status and not because of any outrageous claims or clever marketing tactics or massive link building strategies (except for the one started after the fact). The subject and point of view just struck a nerve. I didn’t perceive it as an attack, rather just an opinion but the resulting tornado of comments turned it into a case study of sorts.  As far as SEO and drawing authority through keyword repetition is concerned, its really kind of funny, the ones who disagreed with the “opinions” stated in the post put forth such a strong statement that it inflamed the whole topic thrusting it into the limelight. Whoops!

Yes, $300 is way steep, and all the SBI sites I’ve seen are quite ugly, so what, that’s just what I think and what I think has nothing to do with how much money you make or how successful your site is. Besides, ugly web design is not necessarily a bad thing depending on your intent. However I gotta say, the type of reaction I saw to Lis’ post about Site Build It was very similar to the type of reaction you get when you challenge someones beliefs or choice of religion. They all but said she would go to hell for posting such blasphemy (or maybe she canned  that one along with the cancerous tumors comment). When you know you’re right it doesn’t matter what anyone says, especially one blog post, one drop in the vast ocean of the internet. But if there is doubt, if deep down you think “I could be wrong” I think it takes integrity and humility to rise above the primal reaction of lashing out. Libel, slander, defamation, reporting to hosts… wow!

I read somewhere that “you should live you life in a way that you are not bothered by anything anyone says about you, whether it is true or false” and I tend to agree. Words to live by. It has to do with integrity, self image, and how you really feel about the walk you are walking. When you believe in yourself it really doesn’t matter what others say.

  • Way to support the cause! Call me sadistic but I actually enjoyed reading all the comments on Lissie’s post. It kind of gives you a look at a cross-section of the MMO field.

    make money working online Says:

Making money online isn`t so simple as everyone think, make money working online with simple membership websites, or CPA is one of the most often choices, but not the easiest ones . One of the easiest ways, maybe not so profitable as CPA is AdSense websites, there are a thousands of great templates optimized for this , promotion of niche keywords in Google is very simple.

  • Ditto! Money does not grow on trees … nor do they grow on the pages of your blog. Making money online entails perseverance, hard work, patients and brains. Luck plays a part too.
